the big two-two.
December 10th, 2010 | author: mari | filed under: chin up, life | 5 comments »i was going to publish a somewhat dark post, but i’ve decided to put it off ’til later. gloominess is off-limits today, because it’s my 22nd birthday! happy birthday to me! and to bobby flay, raven-symone, dan blocker, emily dickinson, meg white, michael clarke duncan, susan dey, kenneth branagh, and all my other good company. if it’s your birthday and you so happen to read this: happy birthday to you, too!
so far, my birthday has been spent:
- completing phase three of mission: organized chaos (post coming soon!).
- eating lukewarm condensed kreplach straight outta the can (i know, right? i’ve hit a new low.).
- clicking through the archives of some of my new favorite blogs (1, 2, 3).
- job-hunting. >:(
- consuming a gluttonous amount of sushi and cookie cake with my family at parker’s lighthouse.
- convincing strangers that i’m indeed 22 and not 16. now i just tell people that i look really young because i was bitten by a vampire in 11th grade.
now i’m off to snuggle with my puppy and bunny and watch today’s dvr’d ep of general hospital! feel free to judge me.

!!!
Happy birthday! Twenty-two is a nice age. Well, I mean it’s nothing spectacular, but I enjoyed telling people I was 22 rather than 23. I don’t like odd numbers.
I still get asked at work if I’m in high school and I’m like -_- but like everyone says, I’ll enjoy it when I’m older.
Good luck with the job-hunt. I think I’m going to be in the same position pretty soon.
PS: You’re definitely my new favorite blog, too!
PPS: RAVEN-SYMONE??? LOVE THAT BITCH.
Happy birthday (again!), Dolly. I love you times a million.
And you have way better eyebrows than Raven-Symoné. ;)
Happy Birthday! A vote of confidence for you mastering the bicycle. and thanks for the dose of michael caine. those lines are too much
Happy birthday! I wish you fun, love and happiness… oh and a kick ass job! Unlike Josh I prefer odd number, but I’d still be happy to be 22 again ;)
Thanks so much for mentioning my blog, it means a lot!
And absolutely no judging from me. Except… those condensed kreplach… they sounds nasty ;p
thanks, everyone!
josh and maryse: i like both 22 and 23, but i’ve also got a thing for double e’s and alliteration. :)
and condensed kreplach is soooo gooood, in a microwaveable-dollar-ramen-noodles kinda way.
kate: i’m actually getting the hang of bike riding — gotta make a post about it soon!
anna: LOL, i love you! <3
