December 24th, 2010 | author: mari | filed under: moving pictures | 4 comments »man, living in america is sorta alright sometimes. i just finished watching white christmas and a charlie brown christmas back-to-back, and in just a few moments it’s a wonderful life will be playing on nbc. i’m stuffing stockings and baking cookies for sandy claws to the tunes of the vince guaraldi trio. incredibly cheese, but it’s reaaaally hitting all my soft spots right now.
tomorrow will be filled with gift-giving, tummy-stuffing, and true grit-watching. what are some of your favorite movies to watch this time of year? the nightmare before christmas, jingle all the way, and home alone are always in my rotation.

I think “It’s a Wonderful Life” is the Christmas movie to end all Christmas movies (you shared my favorite scene, by the way). But, “Miracle on 34th Street” and “Home Alone” are my family’s staples. :) Oh, and “The Grinch”!
I hope you have a happy Christmas!
miracle on 34th street is a must-watch for my fam on thanksgiving. and the grinch! i haven’t watched that one in a few years, but it’s definitely one of my favorites.
thank you, and happy christmas to you, too! :)
I haven’t watched It’s a Wonderful Life yet this year (!), but I need to. Today! It’s my favorite.
Charlie Brown Christmas makes me all weepy even just thinking about it. Sometimes I watch it in the middle of summer, even. :)
a charlie brown christmas has the best soundtrack! i listen to it year-round!
i hope you got around to watching mr. stewart today. :) it’s not really a complete christmas w/o him.
